Meet the Team
Dr. Iana Brewer
Optometrist
Iana Brewer, O.D. is a proud native of Philadelphia, PA. She received her B.S in biology from the University of Pittsburgh in 2015. She then went on to graduate with a doctorate of Optometry from the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University. While attending PCO she completed multiple clinical externships and was recognized with honors. During her time at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center, she was extensively trained in ocular diseases such as diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, glaucoma, and dry eye dysfunction. She also had the rare privilege to treat veterans through the low vision outpatient clinic and gained firsthand experience in the neuro-ophthalmology department through Scheie Eye Institute. She rotated through See Clearly Vision in McLean Virginia, where she trained in advanced corneal disease and specialty hard contacts, including scleral lenses and RGPs. At The Eye Institute in Philadelphia, she was trained in various specialties but chose to focus on pediatrics and binocular vision. At the Vision Health Institute in Orlando, she specialized in primary care and contact lenses.
She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association. Dr. Brewer is committed to giving the best eye care and establishing long-lasting relationships with her patients.
When she’s not in the office, she can be found traveling with her husband, searching for antiques, and rooting for the Philadelphia Flyers!
Dr. Vivian Descant
Optometrist
Dr. Vivian Descant has a distinguished educational and professional record in optometry. She graduated with honors from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry of SalusUniversity. While there, she was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa International Honor Society and won numerous awards and academic scholarships. Dr. Descant is a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry, and a member of the Pennsylvania Optometric Association, the American Optometric Association, and Bucks-Montgomery Optometric Society, where she has been a board member since 2005. She served as an examiner for the National Board of Optometry from 2005-2011. Dr. Descant was a recipient of the Young Optometrist of the Year Award for both Bucks and Montgomery Counties and the state of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Descant is pleased to provide the highest quality eye care and maintains close relationships with ophthalmologic specialists for those patients who require their care. She provides medical testing for all of her patients, as well as routine care for glasses and contact lens patients. Dr. Descant has participated in service trips to provide eye care to patients in Guatemala, Kenya, and Honduras, and has volunteered at the Philadelphia VA hospital to help homeless veterans get the glasses they need.
Dr. Descant has been married to her husband, Duke, for 42years. They have 2 married sons and 4 grandchildren. In her spare time, Dr. Descant enjoys cooking, needlework, and traveling. She has visited 45 of the United States and has been in 29 countries on 5 continents. She hopes to visit Australia but thinks she will not be adding Antarctica to her list of continental visits.
Betty Ann
Biller
Betty Ann Dabrowski is a Certified Medical Biller through the National Association for Health Professionals. She also has an Associate in Specialized Business Degree in Business Administration, with an option in Office Operations Management.
Betty Ann had previously worked for Dr. Vivian Descant in her Perkasie office from 2016 to 2018, before coming to the Southampton office in December of 2020. She also worked many years at the Prudential office in Dresher where she honed her office skills, accounting abilities, and computer knowledge.
Betty Ann’s interests outside of work include browsing through antique and thrift stores, making jewelry, and paper crafting. She also spends time taking classes to learn a variety of techniques that inspire her creativity.
